How to cancel or delete a reconciliation in QuickBooks Online?

Steps to undo or delete a reconciliation of an account


·         First go to the banking menu.


·         Now select the Bank and Account tabs.


·         The next step is to go to "Registration/Account History" after the "Actions" column.


·         Once completed, look for transactions that need to be reconciled.


·         Click the Highlights tab.


·         Then press R.


·         Click this field to change the status of the transaction to the desired status from Empty = Not Matched to C = Delete.


·         When finished, click the Save tab.


·         A pop-up will appear on the screen and you need to click on the Yes tab.

Steps to undo reconciliation manually


You can try to undo a reconciliation manually using the set of steps enumerated below:


·         First, go to the Chart of Accounts tab by clicking on the gear icon.


·         Next, search for the account statement you want to view.


·         Then go to the Account History/Account View tab.


·         Locate the specific account you want to edit and move it to the reconciliation status indicated by a checkmark.


·         The last step is to select and modify the top marker.


·         Select "C" for "Resolved," "R" for "Reconciled," or "Blank" for "Neither Resolved nor Reconciled.
